What I Wore From Fiancé to Bride

Hey there, lovely readers! If there's one thing I've learned on this wild ride to "I do," it's that being a bride-to-be isn't just about the big day itself—it's about every little moment leading up to it. Once you get engaged, it can be overwhelming just dealing with the emotions of planning your wedding. Adding on to that stress with shopping for all the festivities to come…the engagement photos, bachelorette, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, getting ready outfits, accessories, and let’s not forget the lingerie! It adds up.

But for me, this was endless excitement and an opportunity I’ve been dreaming about since I was little! Every bride deserves to feel extra special and wear what makes them feel beautiful. So, grab a coffee and get cozy, because I'm spilling all the details on what I wore for each magical moment leading up to saying “I do!”

Engagement Photos

The only thing I wore that wasn’t white! This beach engagement shoot was not planned. We got engaged in Italy the day before and happened to meet a photographer who wanted to take our photos. Talk about serendipity! I happened to pack this Free People dress with me and I’m so happy I did. This is one of my favorite dresses of all time. A boho blush lace open back maxi dress to die for.

Bachelorette in all white

We went to Charleston for my bachelorette in March so it was a little chilly out. Had so much fun prancing around the Historic town with my best friends.

1. Shopping and walking around

Went with this 70’s style look with flare wide leg white jeans, an ivory mesh lace long sleeve top, and ivory bandeau. Felt so me.

2. Black & White night out with cocktails and dancing

Went out for the evening in this cute blazer dress paired with the same bandeau I wore earlier - plus a dainty “Bride” headband in gold, because…when else can I wear that? I tried on a few blazer dresses and this was my favorite because it was structured and didn’t look like a robe. The girls wore black outfits!

3. Glam dresses for a nice dinner & drinks

We got all dressed up in our fancy dresses and went for some cocktails and dinner. I wore this skin tight midi dress that is not gonna lie, hard to walk in lol. But boy is it a hot one!

My friends outfit:

4. Pajamas for lounging around the house

Of course, it’s not all heels and dresses, I love being comfy and curled up on the couch. For our nights in or getting ready I wore this simple silky pajama set.

Bridal Shower

I saw this maxi dress on Reformation and had to have it! I love the fluttery off shoulder sleeves and ruffle hem. I think I could get lots of use out of this dress! I happened to get really lucky and found my size on Poshmark for this dress, love when that happens.

Rehearsal Dinner

The night before the big day at my Uncle and Aunt’s home. Ordered this dress last minute and didn’t have time to get it altered but it was still so beautiful! Just a classic ivory off the shoulder midi dress with a slit and husband is wearing linen blue pants with a white and blue polka dot button down.

The Wedding

Finally! May 6th, 2023 we tied the knot at La Venture Grove on a truly beautiful day. I’m so grateful God brought James into my life, he’s the best.

1. But first, let’s get ready

I wore this absolutely gorgeous chemise to get ready in with a matching robe. The lace flowers, see through polka dot mesh, and silky fabric is just chefs kiss.

Bridesmaids mismatched satin ruffle robes:

2. Wedding Gown & Accessories

I got my wedding dress from Love Bridal Boutique in Jax Beach. The designer is Martina Liana and the dress style is #1483. However, I customized it to add lace off the shoulder straps and removed an entire layer of tulle skirt, so it was less poofy and hot.

Simple Gold Jewelry:

Something Blue…garter and heels:

Hair vine and veil…not exact (Originally from Twigs and Honey):

3. Lingerie

So I’m not sharing photos of me wearing the lingerie I wore lol but I got two different sets and I love them.

That concludes my round up of everything I wore as a bride! I hope I gave you some ideas or inspiration for your wedding day. Let me know if you have any questions below!!

Thanks for reading!
